Mains Powered Smoke Alarms
We install smoke alarms with live power supply, backed up by internal battery. New residential buildings and some small businesses require mains powered and interlinked smoke alarms. We are happy to help you meet code requirements. Research into their longevity has concluded that the alarms should be replaced every ten years, or sooner if they do not respond properly to testing. We also offer service and testing for your existing smoke alarms.
Emergency Lighting
For your safety and peace of mind, we offer both types of emergency lighting: maintained and non-maintained.
Maintained emergency lighting can be integrated with lighting you regularly use. The fixtures contain a back-up battery that is continually charged by the live power supply, and switches automatically to battery power in the event of a power outage.
Non-maintained lights are lights that are not regularly used. They sense when power is cut and come on as a dim light to guide you down a corridor, stairs, or toward the home's control panel.
